The Florida Citrus Commission serves in the capacity of a board of directors for the Florida Department of Citrus. The Commission oversees and guides the activities of the FDOC. It is responsible for setting the annual amount of the excise tax as well as quality standards for all citrus grown, packed or processed in Florida.
In addition, the Commission conducts a wide variety of programs involving industry regulation, scientific, market and economic research, advertising, merchandising, public and industry relations and consumer promotions.
Every month (except August) the Florida Citrus Commission meets at the Florida Department of Citrus to cover a pre-arranged agenda. The meetings are open to the public and members of the citrus industry are encouraged to attend. If you are unable to attend these monthly meetings,
