Buy Wholesale, Sell Below Retail

When you choose to sell fresh Florida citrus, you not only have eager customers, you buy direct from the shipper at wholesale prices. The fruit is shipped fresh and packed into cartons for easy distribution. You can add $5 to $10 a carton to the wholesale price and still sell below supermarket prices. On a truckload of 900 to 1,100 cartons, your group can make as much as $5,000 to $10,000 in profit (each carton contains 64 to 100 oranges or 32 to 48 grapefruit).

During a one or two week drive, groups of 40 or more can easily sell a truckload. Smaller groups can often find shippers who will sell half a truckload. Two or more small groups can join together and profit from the combined effort.
