Orange juice kicks the flavor up a nonch in ooey, gooey, pull-apart nachos.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound ground pork or turkey
½ cup yellow onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon cumin
½ cup Florida orange juice
1 (7 to 12-ounce) bag baked tortilla chips
1 cup Colby jack cheese, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 green onions, chopped
Salsa
Guacamole
Sour cream or Greek yogurt

Preparation

Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over high heat.  Add ground pork or turkey; sauté until light brown. Add onion and garlic. Sprinkle with chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and cumin; stir to combine. Add orange juice and simmer about 5 minutes until the liquid is almost gone and  meat is thoroughly cooked.

Heat oven to 450° F. Place tortilla chips in large, heatproof shallow dish or on pizza pan.  Distribute meat mixture over chips; sprinkle with both cheeses.  Bake until cheese is melted, about 5 to 8 minutes. Sprinkle with green onion. Serve immediately with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
